Volunteer at Salus

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors leads the Salus Center, determines the big picture goals in accordance with our mission, completes administrative and fiscal duties, manages staff and contractors, and makes financial decisions for the organization. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a committed and important role in shaping the work and future of the center.

To learn more about being on the board of directors and apply to join, click the button below or go to https://forms.gle/dzofYFZGYksBUAae6.

The board reviews applications on a quarterly basis. Expect to hear back about interviewing and joining the board at the end of the next quarter: March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, or December 31st. For questions or concerns, please contact board@saluscenter.org.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Event volunteers: For our community events, volunteers help with greeting and taking attendance, setting up and cleaning up the center, leading or supporting activities, and other duties.

Tabling volunteers: At larger events where the Salus Center has a table, volunteers help set up and/or clean up the booth, answer questions, and interact with the public on behalf of Salus.

Cleaning volunteers: We have cleaning sessions at the Salus Center where a group of volunteers helps to tidy the center so it's ready and welcoming for all our groups and events.

Door volunteers: Some support groups appreciate having the extra safety and convenience of a door volunteer who sits in the front lobby of the Salus Center during group meetings. This volunteer greets support group participants, watches the door for latecomers, and helps support group leaders maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

Gayme Night volunteers: Gayme Nights have begun at the Salus Center! Folks of all ages can come to the center to make friends and build community around board, card, and other tabletop games. Volunteers should be familiar with tabletop board games and be interested in teaching and answering questions about them.
