Building Use Request

***NOTE: We are able to work with people case by case to make sure money is not a barrier for being able to access LGBTQ-friendly space, especially with groups/organizations whose values align with our mission!

You can view a virtual tour of our space here (https://bit.ly/2Qg8CEk) if you’re unfamiliar with it. Some general descriptions and information for your request:

Marsha P. Johnson Welcome Center: This room is at the entrance and offers the least privacy. Not available during Open Hours. Recommended max: 20 seated in rows (more standing, fewer with tables).

Bayard Rustin Meeting Room: This room offers the most privacy without renting the entire building. Available during Open Hours. Recommended max: 25 seated in rows (more standing, fewer with tables).

Sylvia Rivera Multi-Purpose Room: This room is semi-private due to the restroom being located through this room. Recommended max: 35 seated in rows (more standing, fewer with tables).

Harvey Milk Kitchenette, located at the back of the Multipurpose Room, is available for use at any time. Advance notice is appreciated.

Entire Salus Center: all rooms reserved for a private event.

You may expect a reply within one week of submission.

Once the use of Salus Center is approved by the Executive Director or appointed staff, you will need to submit payment, a signed copy of the Building Use Agreement Form, and a copy of your liability insurance as applicable.

If you have questions, please direct those to our Events & Volunteer Coordinator (volunteer@saluscenter.org).
